Photo Op with CNN anchor Anderson Cooper
Everyone knows that a short term trip to Haiti for earthquake relief benefits the people who come to Haiti, not the people who live in Haiti. But we need to ask each other: What is the purpose of a short-term trip to Haiti for earthquake relief if it is not going to help the earthquake survivors in Haiti?
Yea, I kinda laughed when I saw the thread "Fed up with the crap!" Then I realize OpaEssence is a con-wanna-be journalist who is seeking fame and phot op at the expense of the earthquake survivors in Haiti. To bring those up to date who didn't catch OpaEssence's post on her blog, here it is:
" I spent a week in Haiti only to come to all this nonsense on this board. And some of you wonder why I don't come here. I'd rather spend my time doing more productive things then reading some of your nonsense... you know who you are. I wish I had stayed in Haiti instead of having to come back to this. Some of you are too well off, you know a roof over your head, food on your table so you have time to disrepect and just ask plain ignorant. I'm back and I'm not the same person."
Are we going through the motions of taking a short-term trip to Haiti for helping the earthquake survivors in Haiti so we can congratulate ourselves afterwards?
