On Sunday May 31st, Kreyol La celebrated all the mothers, TiJoe's birthday and Kreyol La's anniversary! As stated before the whole idea of the concert was to give back to our fans, give back to the community.

We tried to put on a first class show for our fans, the ones that necessarily do not get to see a full production with lights, fireworks and a show!
We reunited the 4 musical genres in Haiti to help us to celebrate:
1. Ram representing the Racine genre. Lunize is just superbe! She had the crowd in the palm of her hand.
2. Brothers Posse representing the Roots genre - it was my first time attending one of their performance and I have to say that it was impressive!
3. Barikad Crew representing Rap - BC is a phenomena! I saw people go into frenzy!
4. Kreyol La representing Konpa - the boys were dazzling in their crisp white suit, white hat, apple green shirt and tie! Their stage entry was electrifying!
It was important for us to convey the message that we care about our fans and that we appreciate their continued support.
The event did not go without any glitches, we ran late in instances and the show had to be cut short, but I think the goal was accomplished.
Throughout out the day, thanks to VOILA, TCHAKO and Bongu, they were a lot of give-a- ways. We donated 1000 bags of rice - courtesy of Tchako; numerous boxes of Spaghetti, soap, feminine products, milk - courtesy of Bongu; finally - courtesy of Voila, counteless phone cards.
We had several contests for kids where everyone was a winner as each kid that participated won food supplies for a month. We also provided over 10, 000 candles and matches to those present.
The event was hosted by Caleb and PJ that did a wonderful job, keeping the crowd animated with the help of one of the best DJ in town - DJ FANFAN.
Kreyol La took advantage of the day to thank the sponsors that made not only the day possible, but all our events throughout the year. We gave each sponsor a plaque, thanking them for the continuous support. So shout out to Voila, Tchako, Bongu, and Flesh Kan'n. We also thanked the promoters that are in charge of our booking throughout the world by presenting them with an award: Nouvel Jenerasyon, Noel & Cecibon, AD Music, Venus Productions, Epim Pa bon, Madiana Schiva, Groupe de Spectacle Sak Pase Montreal and DJ Fanfan
As I previously stated, the day did not go without its glitches, setbacks and frustrations. Kreyol La didn't get to perform its whole set, we ran late and had to cut out some the featured attractions. But in retrospective, it was perfect! We set out to celebrate with our fans, to give back and make them happy and, well we did. Having such a huge crowd singing happy birthday with you, cutting your cake with you, just being there - well - it's amazing! And I guess it sums up the day for me, it was amazing! So thank you for 4 years of continued support, and here to the next 4!
